Believing in the importance of the role food security represents and its impact, The Technical Consultancy Center decided to hold the first conference under the name “National Food Security”, during the period between (3-5/12/2024) in which the most important axes of national food security, its dependencies and importance, risks of its lack and ways to benefit from national resources and wealth to provide food security and self-sufficiency will be discussed. with sponsorship of His Highness the Minister of Agriculture and in cooperation with various agencies.

Genetically modified food is the term now most commonly refers to the use of plants intended to be engineered for human and animal consumption using the latest biological technology, “genetic engineering”. It is one of the most important topics between the opposition and supporters, as it was the subject of controversy and discussion about the effects and results of genetic engineering on food.
Since there were lots of questions and inquiries it raised the need and demand for this conference be held for the first time in 2006 to discuss the safety of using such technology, and other claims to establish new systems and procedures to deal with legalizing the safety of genetically modified foods.
due to the success of the previous genetically modified food conferences which were held by the Center at the local and regional levels over the years 2006/2007/2008/2009/2011/2012, the Center decided to hold this important international conference during the period (24-26/9/2024) in Amman – Jordan. A distinguished group of Arab and international experts will participate in this conference to present their latest findings in this issue.

And in our keenness to keep abreast of the latest developments in this important global issue, which is now being talked about continuously in light of the increase in oil prices and the increasing demand for alternative sources of renewable and clean energy, it was decided to hold the third international conference on alternative energy during the period (12-14/12/2023) in Amman – Jordan, in cooperation with many relevant authorities. Experts from all over the world are expected to participate in this international event to focus on the following key aspects of the conference:
• Introduction to alternative energy.
• Biofuels: facts, future, prospects, challenges, opportunities and risks.
• Biofuels and sustainable development.
• Biofuels and food security.
• The relationship of biofuels as an energy source to climate change.

As the issue of Intellectual Property Rights is one of the most important challenges facing the national and international economy, especially since Jordan joined the World Trade Organization and signed many economic partnership agreements with the European Union and the United States.
To contribute to the discussion of this topic, the Center held this conference for the first time in 2005; To bring together Arab and foreign experts to clarify this issue related to agriculture and how to benefit from intellectual property on the national economy in Jordan and similar regional countries.
And after the successes achieved by the International Conference on Intellectual Property Rights in Agriculture, which was organized by the Technical Consultancy Center and in cooperation with fruit Producers Association over five years 2005-2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012, where the conference became the first of its kind at the local and regional levels, For its distinction in discussing the latest developments in serving the agricultural sector in Jordan and the countries of the region by a group of international, Arab and local experts and specialists. Therefore, it was decided to hold this conference for the sixth session during the period (4-6/6/2024) in Amman – Jordan.

Introduction

In terms of the essence of the work of the Forum, it represents a forum for workers in the agricultural sector and those interested in agricultural affairs from the public and private sectors, individuals and institutions, in addition to civil society organizations. In terms of the nature of the activity, it is a platform for dialogue on agricultural issues, which participates in its dialogues and activities decision makers, agricultural partners and experts in various fields of agriculture.
