Believing in the importance of the role food security represents and its impact, The Technical Consultancy Center decided to hold the first conference under the name “National Food Security”, during the period between (3-5/12/2024) in which the most important axes of national food security, its dependencies and importance, risks of its lack and ways to benefit from national resources and wealth to provide food security and self-sufficiency will be discussed. with sponsorship of His Highness the Minister of Agriculture and in cooperation with various agencies.
The conference includes the following topics:
- The concept of food security in general.
- Legislations and laws that support or limit food security in Jordan and the roles of various sectors in that.
- The reality and state of food security and agricultural production in Jordan, the problems facing the sector, and Jordan’s position in terms of achieving food security in the region and the world.
- Proposed solutions to contribute to achieving national food security.
- Expert session (round table), Which includes formulating all conference outputs in an applicable manner and delivering it to the highest authority capable of implementing and managing them.
